PIA’s Pre-Hajj operation 2018 of transporting intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia commenced from 14 th July 2018.


Karachi, The first Pre Hajj flights are PK 7001 from Karachi to Madinah and PK 7003 from Islamabad to Madinah.The airline will transport more than 60,000 intending pilgrims through approximately 250 Hajj and Regular scheduled flights to Jeddah and Madinah from Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Sialkot, Multan andFaisalabad stations.
The passengers of first Pre-Hajj flight from Karachi PK-7001 were seen off at Jinnah International Airport Karachi by Zia Qadir Qureshi, Chief Operating Officer PIA, Amanuallah Qureshi, Chief Supplies and Logistics Officer, Akhlaq Ahmed, General Manager Customer Services, Aftab Rajpar Station Manager along with senior officials of the airline. The Passengers  of flight from Islamabad PK 7003 were seen off by Air Vice Marshal Noor Abbas, Advisor to CEO PIA and Zulqarnain Mehdi, Chief Daily Operations Officer PIA along with  senior officials of the airline.
PIA will transport nearly 13,152 intending pilgrims from Islamabad, 12,456 intending pilgrims from Lahore, 8,559 from Peshawar, 10,124 from Karachi, 3,787 from Sialkot, 4903 from Multan and 1,122 intending pilgrims from Faisalabad. While more than 2,600 intending pilgrims will be transported from Sukkur and Rahim Yar Khan with onward connections. It includes 40,700 through government Hajj scheme whereas 20,500 through private schemes which include nearly 4,500 intending pilgrims expected from Quetta through private scheme.President & CEO PIA, Musharraf Rasool Cyan has instructed PIA officials and staff to provide full support and assistance to the pilgrims at airports in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.Musharraf Rasool Cyan is personally supervising the Hajj operation and senior officials will ensure proper arrangements from flight take off to arrival at Saudi Arabia.PIA’s Pre-Hajj operation will conclude on 15 August 2018. While the Post Hajj operation will commence from 27 th August 2018 and will conclude on 25 September 2018.-
