Islamabad: The UAE Embassy in Islamabad organized an event to launch of countdown to Expo 2020 Dubai, at the Embassy premises on Wednesday, 30th October, 2019 at 10:30am.
The event hosted by H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, aims to mark one year before the biggest party on Earth begins in 2020 in UAE.
Speaking on occasion H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan said: I welcome you to the Embassy for witnessing the launch of countdown to the largest economic and commercial event in the world.
After one year from now, Dubai will host the first World Expo to ever be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, with 25 million visitors expected to attend.
Expo 2020 Dubai under the theme “Connecting Minds and Making the Future” will commence on October 20, 2020 and will last for six months with the active participation of 192 countries.
Expo 2020 coinciding with the UAE’s 50th anniversary in 2021 will act as a “global six-month celebration of creativity, innovation, humanity and world cultures”.
On this occasion, I extend my thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates for its vision to improve the future of the country and the region as a whole by providing an opportunity for the Middle East and South Asian countries such as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to make its mark in the future by exchange of ideas and experiences, job creation and new business opportunities through Expo 2020.
I am along-with UAE government eagerly looking forward to welcome Pakistani businessmen and people in Dubai to avail the opportunity to grab the world market through active participation and impressive marketing.
