According to the details issued by party’s Central Media Department Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to media outside election commission today, has stated that the nation has placed its trust in Imran Khan by voting the party to power. He asked the public to support him in achieving his vision for the country. “The APC was unsuccessful, most of the opposition parties rejected Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman’s suggestion to boycott the Parliament,” said Vice Chairman PTI.
Shah Mehmood further added that some defeated elements in the general polls, want to harm democracy. Referring to the formation of government in Punjab, Qureshi said that PTI is getting the majority of candidates in the province. He also thanked Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pervez Illahi.
He said that International World, FAFEN, European Union, United Nations and others declared polls of Pakistan “transparent”. “Everyone from the world over is congratulating Imran Khan on the victory. Even opponents are praising his victory speech. Imran’s win is a result of 22 years of political struggle”, he added.
He further noted the positive events in the Pakistani economy following the elections. “The stock market has stabilized, the rupee has bounced back,” he remarked.
More independent candidates of the Provincial Assembly and National Assembly have formally announced to join Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf today.
According to the details furnished by party’s Central Media Department more independent candidates from Punjab have announced to join PTI today following a meeting with Chairman PTI at Chairman’s Secretariat Banigala.
Elected MNA and MPAs Sanaullah Mastikhel and Syed Akbar Noorani and Ameer Mohammad Khan from Bhakkar have joined PTI ranks today. Moreover MNA Ghaffar Wattu and MPA Fida Wasttu from Bahawalnagar have also announced to join PTI. Abdul Hai Dasti from member Punjab Assembly from Muzzaffargarh is also among those who joined PTI ranks today. The newcomers expressed full confidence over party’s leadership and manifesto and resolved to play their due role in bringing change. Chairman PTI warmly welcomed the newly elected members into the party. Senior leader PTI Jahangir Khan Tareen was also present in the meeting.
