Senate’s Standing Committee on Defence headed by Chairman, Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati visited Air Headquarters Islamabad today. On arrival at Air Headquarters, the distinguished guests were received by Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. Later, the Committee was given a detailed briefing regarding the role played by PAF in the aerial defence of Pakistan. Mr Azam Khan Swati lauded the sound professionalism of PAF personnel as well as its commendable contributions in safeguarding Pakistan’s national security. He acknowledged the role played by PAF in recent times and termed it as one of the best air forces of the world.

The members of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Defence included Lt. General (R) Abdul Qayyum, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, Abdul Rehman Malik, Khushbakht Shujat, Sajjad Hussain Turi, Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, Muhammad Javed Abbasi, Chaudhary Tanvir Khan.
