Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will form the next Federal & Provincial Governments in Pakistan based on its performance, vision and reforms for the establishment of a welfare state. He stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the only province having political activities these days in which people are participating in huge numbers. Addressing a Public gathering at District Swabi, in which Awami National Party Central Advisor Irshad Khan announced joining Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf, the Chief Minister clarified that Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan and his Federal Government inherited a government having a debt of Rs. 30,000 Billion, the entire industrial sector, including Railways, Steel Mills and WAPDA etc in loss and was also included in the international grey list. He maintained that Corrupt Political Mafias looted the country’s wealth and left the country’s economy in shackles adding that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan will soon come out of the economic quagmire. He clarified that the incumbent provincial government is undertaking practical and pragmatic measure aimed at strengthening the provincial economy and making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province a hub for regional trade and commerce activities. Mahmood khan stated that efforts are underway to promote tourism as an industry along with strengthening of communication networks to attract investors and promote industrialization. Peshawar to D.I Khan Motorway, Extension of Swat Motorway, Power Projects having 600MW capacity, Chitral to Gilgit Road via Shandoor and similar mega projects have been included in CPEC with the help and support of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Federal Government. Commenting on the performance of the incumbent provincial Government, Mahmood Khan maintained that the integration of tribal Districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province within merely 15 months time, holding of peaceful provincial Assembly elections in exFATA, inclusion of representative of tribal districts in the provincial cabinet, provision of free health care facilities to all the people in tribal districts, provision of interest free loan to the youth in tribal Districts, integration of 28,000 Khasadar and Levis force into the police and allocation of historic Rs. 83 billion developmental budget for the tribal districts during the current fiscal year are the landmark achievements of the incumbent Provincial Government. He stated that the Provincial Government has established history in terms of delivery and will continue to work for uniform development in the province adding that free healthcare facilities under the Sehat Insaaf Card will be provided to all the citizens of the province by June of the ongoing year. The Chief Minister stated that the Provincial Government is also taking practical steps to attract investors and provide a conducive environment for promoting industrialization. The recent signing of agreement with PEDO regarding wheeling of electricity to local industries will prove to be a landmark achievement through which 18MW electricity, produced from Pehur Hydel Power Project, will be provided to local industries at a cheaper price. He clarified that various other power projects in the province will also be used to provide cheap electricity to industrial zones in the province which will automatically attract investors thereby not only promoting rapid industrialization but will also generate tremendous livelihood opportunity. The Chief Minister on this occasion also inaugurated widening and improvement of Canal Patrol Road along Pehur Branch and Canal Patrol Road along Darra Minor which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 137.62 million. Commenting on the reforms in the health sector, the Chief Minister stated that the provincial government is working on a comprehensive health plan which will be implemented in the next 6 to 8 months. Visible development will be noticed in BHUs, RHCs, DHQs and all other hospitals throughout the province. With regard to the education sector, the Chief Minister stated that 12,000 teachers will be recruited before 30th March of the ongoing year whereas over additional 15,000 teachers will be recruited during the current year to address the shortage of teaching staff throughout the province including the tribal districts. The Chief Minister stated that Pehur high level extension irrigation project will help in bringing 2.5 Lac Acre of barren land under cultivation which will being about an agricultural revolution in the province helping us to become self sustainable in agricultural produce. Mahmood Khan on this occasion appealed that citizens should play their due role in identification of corrupt practices clarifying that the Provincial Government has launched anti corruption drive which is being implemented strictly. Recently 15 Patwaries in District Peshawar have been terminated in this regard.
