Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that protecting rights of the children and ensuring their welfare is among top priorities of his government. He while addressing the issues raised by Pakistan Patriatic Association in this respect, assured convening a special meeting to evolve a clear mechanism in this regard.
He was talking to a representative delegation of Pakistan Patriatic Association led by Prof. Dr. Irshad Ahmad at CM Secretariat Peshawar. The delegation also included Prof. Ashfaq Ahmad, Prof. Abdul Hameed, and Prof. Amin Jan Gandapur. The delegation apprised the Chief minister of the problems relating to the children specially the infants as well as briefed him of the services and projects being carried out by the association. The delegation also requested for streamlining the children institute at Hayatabad and early completion of the two under construction children hospitals in the province.
Meanwhile, Mahmood Khan while talking to Chairman BISE Peshawar Dr. Fazle Rahman at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar, appreciated the reforms introduced in the board and assured that his provincial government would encourage and support such good steps in the government departments and institutions. He said that reward and punishment is the right kind of approach for good governance, transparency and improving the services. He emphasized on elimination of the corruption and providing justice to the needy in this respect. Chairman BISE Peshawar highlighted the reforms and introduction of automation system to improve services of the board.
Chief Minister appreciated the steps for improving transparency and linking the board with other educational boards of the province through online system. He also eulogized the effective monitoring system and establishment of procurement cell for more transparency and assured all out cooperation on behalf of the provincial government in this regard.
An eight member delegation of Insaf Lawyers Forum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also called on Mahmood Khan at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar led by President of the forum Qazi Anwar Advocate. Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Mehmood Jan and Secretary Law Zaka Ullah Khattak were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister on this occasion said that provincial government was also reforming the law department like other institutions of the province that would yield positive results soon. It would also contribute in removing hurdles in providing quick and cheap justice to the people. He directed for finalizing the proposals and recommendations to give it practical shape.
A delegation of Swat Electronic Association also called on the Chief Minister led by its Chairman Sherin Zada. The Chief Minister also took oath of the cabinet elect of the association who included Sherin Zada Chairman, Niaz Ahmad Khan President, Shaukat Ali Vice President, Saeedur Rahman General Secretary, Essa Khan Khel Joint Secretary, Anwar Anjum Finance Secretary, Executive Member Fiaz Zafar, Syed Shahabuddin and Saleem Athar. Chairman DDAC Swat Fazle Hakeem Khan, Secretary Information Qaiser Alam, DG Information Firdous Khan and other concerned high ups were also present on this occasion.
