ISLAMABAD, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has imposed ban on driving heavy bikes in the residential areas of the city during night.
These orders have been issued by Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Farrukh Rasheed following directions from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan after complaints from the citizens.
According to these orders, the heavy bikers have been prohibited to drive the bikes from 9 pm to 6 am.The residents complained about noise pollution and the traffic hindrance caused by heavy bikers.
ITP has appealed the young persons and such bike owners to cooperate with police and ensure implementation on these orders. ITP is also distributing the pamphlets and running campaign on social media pages to create awareness among the citizens in this regard.
ITP personnel have been also directed to take strict action against those involved in such activities in future.
