Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (R ) Dost Muhammad Khan has expressed satisfaction over the upto the mark performance on different targets for the peaceful, transparent and impartial conduct of upcoming elections in the province. He was personally evaluating all issues, security measures and the data of the different steps by different provincial government departments on daily basis. It is a matter of satisfaction we are going ahead of the already laid-down targets, he added. He said We would never allow anyone to influence our impartiality and neutrality in the whole election process. He said it should be clear on everyone including the political forces and contesting candidates that the peaceful and impartial conduct of elections was our constitutional obligation that would be never be compromised . he had already sensitized the provincial administration to be neutral in the whole election process. We have to be dedicated to our constitutional responsibilities to facilitate the voters to exercise their vote on their free well and we would provide congenial environment to the voters.
These views he expressed during a presentation given by the focal person Press Secretary to CM Bahramand on the level of preparedness of different provincial government departments under the caretaker Chief Minister directives for the smooth , free and transparent election in the province.
The Chief Minister was informed that this province was ahead of the targets in the process of preparation for the general elections. The installation of CCTV Camera was in full swing as per Chief Minister’s directives. Over 950 CCTV Cameras have been installed so far. In the given situation the provincial administration have to make extra arrangements for the general elections because of the merger of seven new districts of erstwhile of the FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All Deputy Commissioners have been sensitized for making all out arrangements in the polling stations on the polling day. These arrangements included the storage of election material, facilitating the polling staff and the entire election structure throughout the province. The demand of the different districts for transpiration reached and permission have been given to get private vehicles to facilitate the whole transportation process for the elections. This province has 1 Crore 78 lac 31 Thousand and 250 registered voters that included 1 Crore 2 lac 16 Thousand and 456 male voters and 76 lac, 14 Thousands and 794 female voters. Extra security would be provided to sensitive polling stations.
Caretaker Chief Minister’s directives to officers and officials deputed for elections duties to be neutral and impartial in the whole process, have been communicated. Polling stations have been upgraded and reports sent to election commission. The Chief Minister directives for all the departments and officers and officials were properly communicated and the process of implementation was being monitored, Caretaker Chief Minister was briefed.
Chief Minister directed to be sensitive to the sensitive responsibilities in the coming days as elections process was reaching to completion. He further directed for the accelerated steps to finalize the arrangements for the elections. He further directed to pay no heed to the propaganda. All the government machinery should go with a focus approach for facilitating free, fair and impartial elections. The actual world reality should be prominent and communicated to the people, he stressed. His government has to make appropriate arrangements because of the sensitive nature of situations that included threat to the security and more importantly arrangements for the seven merged districts.
Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (R ) Dost Muhammad Khan has stressed the need to introduce the research based innovations in existing banking system. He lauded the loan scheme of National Bank of Pakistan for financial assistance of citizens; however he proposed to encourage latest mini coaches instead of providing loans for individual cars in order to cut down the vehicular rush in the cities.
He was talking to Regional Head of National Bank of Pakistan Sohail Ahmad, who called on him here at Chief Minister Secretariat the other day. Regional Executive Business NBP Peshawar Region Waqar Ahmad and branch sales and services Manager of NBP Saiful Geer Afridi were also present on this occasion.
Caretaker Chief Minister said that National Bank of Pakistan was our national asset. NBP was playing an important role in the provision of services to the public. He underlined the need for discouraging the increasing trend of individual cars loans and said that loans should be provided for mini coaches in order to decrease the pollution and vehicular traffic congestion that has created health hazards for citizens. He said that we should have to be more sensitive in this regard because the pollution had crossed the red line which is the most dangerous for physical health of Public. Post Office System of Pakistan was also discussed in the meeting. Justice (R) Dost Muhammad Khan stressed the need to introduce new trends in posting system adding that once this was one of the best posting system of the world. The network of post office is available everywhere even in the far away rural areas of the country. We just need to upgrade it in accordance with the requirements of modern age, he added.
