CHAIRMAN SENATE REACHES GAWADAR , REVIEWS APA COMMITTEE MEETING ARRANGEMENTS

ISLAMABAD, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani visited Gawadar to review the arrangements of the upcoming meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Political Affairs to be held in the last week of October. Leader of the House in the Senate Senator Shibli Faraz and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice Senator Javed Abbasi also accompanied the Chairman Senate during this visit.
Chairman Senate was briefed about the arrangements for the meeting. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for this conference and said that it is a collective responsibility of all the concerned to make it a success as it will not only help in better projection of the soft image of Pakistan but will highlight the real potential of Gawadar as port city.
Chairman Senate said that Gawadar is not only in the best interests of Pakistan but the whole of Asia. He said that the organizing meeting of the committee in Gawadar will help in providing on ground awareness to the participants and delegates from different regions. Chairman Senate said that Gawadar would become hub of trade activities thus accelerating economic development of the region. He said that operationalization of Gawadar port and CPEC projects would provide jobs to the locals in Pakistan and uplift the quality of life of common citizens.
Chairman Senate directed the concerned authorities to make this important a success and appreciated the authorities for the excellent work done so far.
Around 82 parliamentarians from 25 countries are attending this event.
