Peshawar: Caretaker Chief Minister former Justice Dost Muhammad Khan has announced relief package for recent flood affected victims of different districts of the province and directed the district administrations, teams of PDMA and Rescue 1122 to launch immediate relief activities in the flood affected areas of the province. He further directed to collect complete data of damages both of lives and property in order to initiate fast track rehabilitation in the affected areas of the province. The relief and rehabilitation should start immediately. The immediate aim should be to provide early relief to the affected people, he added.
In his directives issued here today, the Caretaker Chief Minister called upon the relevant agencies to take suitable steps to protect the people from monsoon torrential rains damages. He sensitized the district administrations, PDMA and Rescue 1122 and ordered to start relief activities without any delay. He also directed to collect data and make estimates of the overall damages and chalk out a comprehensive plan for reconstruction and rehabilitation of flood hit areas of the province adding that the district administration should go out to the damaged sites and monitor the supervision of relief activities in the affected areas. Their presence will speed up the relief work and help in overcoming the problems and difficulties of affectees. He said that his caretaker government will go all out to overcome the damages of poor people and to rehabilitate them.
Former Justice Dost Muhammad Khan also directed the district administrations and all the relevant departments to be more watchful and sensitive in the coming days to avert the possible damages by the monsoon rains. He also prayed for departed souls of deceased and expressed his sympathies with the members of the aggrieved families. He also directed for efficient healthcare facilities to injured persons.
