Cabinet approves Balochistan Awami endowment fund: CM Jam Kamal khan.

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal has said that Balochistan Cabinet approved the Balochistan Awami endowment fund. Chief Minister in his tweet said that Balochistan cabinet recently approved the Awami endowment fund. “Under this the poor will be supported through cash and transfers,”.

He said currently Rs. 3700 millon has been allocated for this fund in the PSDP. The PC1 has been prepared and got approved by the PDWP.  He said ins first phase the poor patients who are suffering from major seven chronic diseases will be supported in medical treatment  in the best public and private sector hospitals throughout the country.

Chief Minister has given policy directions that the next phase more such interventions like microfinance etc which directly contribute to the poverty alleviation be started under this program. The Social welfare Department  will supervise the funds and merit based mechanism for funds disbursement and the identification of needy has be devised.

It may mentioned here on 10th January in  7th Provincial Cabinet Session presided by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Thursday approved various agendas of different provincial departments allowing amendments in policies for Journalists and Hawkers welfare funds.

After reviewing the progress of Provincial Education, Local Body, Information, Sports and Telecommunication Departments the Balochistan Cabinet unanimously approved important affairs of those departments included on cabinet agenda. The Cabinet also approved amendments in new hiring in educational department allowing new appointments of teachers from grade 9 to 15 on contract basis.

The cabinet members were informed that the test and interviews for new recruitments would be done through testing services while District Recruitment Committees would be established to hire new teachers on Districts level.
The cabinet directed Educational Department to implement the suggestions given by cabinet members for new hiring in Education Department while provincial cabinet members were agreed upon to follow testing criteria for other recruitment’s as well.
